Dr. Lívia Kokas Palicska

Dr. Lívia Kokas Palicska graduated as a textile engineer from the Technical University of Dresden.  She holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of West Hungary and worked as a lecturer/researcher at the University of Obuda for many years. In addition to her teaching activities, during which she has been a visiting professor at several universities abroad, Kokas Palicska has recently worked as Deputy Director of Research at the Institute of Product Design, where her scientific work has focused on textile testing, functional and sustainable textiles.

Since 2014 she has been CEO of INNOVATEXT Textile Engineering and Testing Company, in Hungary. She manages and coordinates all activities of the institute, from accredited material testing to a wide range of internationally recognised OEKO-TEX® certifications (including OEKO-TEX® Sustainable Textile and Leather Certification, STANDARD 100 and LEATHER STANDARD by OEKO-TEX® certification, etc.) and EU-type examination of protective clothing, as well as national and European research projects.

Kokas Palicska is the President of the Hungarian Association of Light Industry (MKSZ), Vice President of the Hungarian Textile Industry Scientific Association (TMTE) and a member of the editorial board of the Hungarian textile journal “Magyar Textiltechnika”
